Roni Horn

Acting as ambiguous symbols, the clowns lead viewers to analyze their process of looking and the reactions that arise.


Roni Horns clowns are just to me like a metaphor for a mirror, a self-portrait of the person looking at the work. A generic portrait of humanity or you could imagine it as a self –portrait of the viewer expressed through the clown image.


                  

I really feel that this is a good response to the work i am trying to create, with the blurred edges and an almost fluid, transient aspect of it.
